What happens at a moon tasting
Every gathering lands on a new or full moon. We pour three to four biodynamic wines, read the night's lunar energy, and pull a card.
The journey, sip by sip
Roughly two and a half hours, from first cocktail to last card.
Arrival & cocktails
Come early, order a cocktail, and settle in. The room is candlelit and the table is communal, so you'll know the person next to you before the first wine is poured. The ritual starts the moment you arrive.
What is biodynamic wine?
Biodynamic winemakers treat the whole vineyard as one living organism, and they plant and harvest in rhythm with the moon. Sounds woo-woo. But it's holistic and sustainable. Plus the wines are expressive of the terroir. You don't need to have heard the word before you walk in — by the end of fifteen minutes, it clicks.
Moon reading & intention
We start with tonight's moon: which sign it's in, and what that energy is asking of you. New moon, you set an intention. Full moon, you release what's run its course. It frames everything you're about to drink.
The guided tasting
The heart of the evening. Three to four biodynamic wines, each with its own story — the producer, the terroir, the grape — and why it belongs under tonight's moon. Where it lines up, the pours follow the moon's zodiac sign and the biodynamic calendar.
Wineffirmation card pull
Everyone pulls a Wineffirmation Card, each one tied to a wine and an affirmation for the lunar cycle. A moment of reflection before the room opens back up.
Connection & conversation
Now the evening loosens. Go back to your favourite pour, tell the table which one surprised you, compare card pulls and swap rising signs. You'll leave with a Wineffirmation Card.
